Q – What makes Adventure North Rentals better than other snowmobile rental companies?

A – We have extremely high standards and are dedicated to providing each customer with top quality snowmobile rentals that they can count on to enhance their North Wisconsin adventure experience. Customer service is very important to us at Adventure North Rentals and we strive to meet or exceed the expectations of every customer we serve.

Q – What type of maintenance is done to ensure that your machines are in good working order?

A – We perform regular check-ups on each and every snowmobile that we provide to our customers at Adventure North Rentals. Proper maintenance, as well as service checks before and after each rental, help us to ensure that every customer has a worry-free experience.

Q – How old do you need to be to rent a snowmobile in Wisconsin?

A – Adventure North Rentals will only rent our machines to persons that are 21 years of age or older. Each snowmobile will be assigned to a renter and a contract must be completed before leaving the drop site.

Q – What is the Snowmobile Safety Certificate and who needs one to ride a snowmobile in the State of Wisconsin?

A – If you were born after December 31, 1984 you are required by Wisconsin law to have a valid Snowmobile Safety Certificate in order to operate snowmobiles on any public lands, trails or frozen waters. However, if you were born before December 31, 1984, you do not need to have this special certificate.

Q – How many people can ride on a snowmobile ?

A – Adventure North Rentals has one and two-passenger snowmobile rentals available.

Q – What do I need to have in order to rent snowmobiles in Wisconsin?

A – You must have a valid driver’s license and either a credit card or cash for the damage deposit in order to get one of our snowmobile rentals at Adventure North Rentals.

Q – Can I rent a trailer to haul the snowmobiles to the trailhead or another location?

A – Absolutely! If you would like to also rent a trailer from Adventure North Rentals, please make sure to let us know in advance. If renting a trailer, make sure that your snowmobiles are properly secured.

Q – Can I reserve a snowmobile rental in advance?

A – Yes! A $50 per machine per day deposit is required before one of our top-quality snowmobile rentals can be reserved for you. At the time of registration, this deposit will be credited to the rental fee. The deposit is non-refundable due to the high demand for our snowmobiles.

Q – How much is the damage deposit that is required for a rental at Adventure North Rentals?

A – Adventure North Rentals requires a $1,000 damage deposit per snowmobile rental, which must be made on a pre-authorized credit card or with a cash deposit at the time of rental. This deposit is 100% refundable when the snowmobile is returned undamaged, excepting any normal wear and tear.

Q – What about gas and oil for the snowmobile rentals?

A – Adventure North Rentals will deliver the snowmobile with a full tank of gas and top off the oil reservoirs. The rental must be returned with a full tank of gas and oil or a $40 fueling fee plus the cost of fuel will be assessed. Our staff will take care of filling oil upon return and bill accordingly, however, multiple day rentals must add oil on their own if they run low. Oil is not included with the rental – DO NOT RUN OUT OF OIL.

Q – How long can a snowmobile run before I need to refuel it?

A – While there are a lot of variables, such as speed and the type of trail that you are riding on, each snowmobile should be able to run between 50 and 70 minutes before refueling. Make sure to plan fuel stops in advance to prevent running out of gas.

Q – What are the “rules of the road” when riding on North Wisconsin snowmobile trails?

A – We have provided a list of guidelines for you to follow that will help you to have a safe, fun and memorable snowmobile adventure.

Q – Is there any tax charged on the rentals?

A – Yes, the state of Wisconsin requires a 5.5% use tax to be collected for each rental.

Q – What forms of payment do you accept at Adventure North Rentals?

A – We accept cash and/or credit cards, including Mastercard, Visa and Discover. We do not accept American Express. Debit cards may be used for payment only and cannot be used to cover Damage Deposits.

Q – What about insurance for the snowmobile rentals?

A – Adventure North Rentals offers NO insurance for damage to our machines. Please speak with your personal insurance agent about adding a rider for rental damage to your policy.

Q – What is your cancellation policy?

A – If you cancel a reservation more than 14 days in advance, you will be eligible for a full refund minus a $10 processing fee for each day the unit was reserved. For cancellations less than 14 days in advance, please see our Rental Policy page.
